In 2025, we were able to bring more awareness to the Black Hills than ever before. Together, we helped create safer communities by equipping people with the knowledge to recognize human trafficking, understand the warning signs, and know what to do when it’s suspected. When awareness grows, prevention becomes possible, and survivors have a greater chance of being rescued and supported.

We are deeply passionate about educating our communities, because informed communities are safer communities.

As we stepped into 2026, one of the ways we’re continuing this work is through our January Human Trafficking Prevention campaign. This month is an opportunity to stand together and send a clear message: human trafficking is not welcome here, and we stand firmly with survivors.

We were overwhelmed by the support from our Black Hills community. Through our billboard and yard sign campaign, we were able to raise awareness about human trafficking right here at home—where awareness matters most. With the help of our incredible supporters, 75+ yard signs are now planted across the Black Hills, and our electronic billboard stood in Rapid City all month long as a visible reminder that this community is committed to protecting the vulnerable and ending exploitation.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to SECO Construction for generously sponsoring our yard signs, and to every individual, family, and business who displayed a sign and stood with Esthers Rising. Your voices, your visibility, and your willingness to take action are helping move our mission forward—one conversation at a time.
